Notice of Annual General Meeting and call for Board of Directors

The Persons Living With AIDS Network of Saskatchewan Inc. (PLWA) is looking to fill two open seats on the PLWA Board of Directors at the June 14, 2019 Annual General Meeting. The PLWA is a non-profit, charitable community-based Indigenous organizations serving the communities of Saskatchewan by providing programs and services for persons infected or affected by HIV. The PLWA provides care and support services for persons living with HIV, their family, friends, care providers, partners and persons living at risk of contracting the HIV virus (the virus that causes AIDS). The PLWA values harm reduction and meeting HIV+ peers where they are at on their life journey, greater involvement and engagement of peers in the community and culturally safe places free from discrimination for all. We are committed to:
  • maintaining blind status in the community in a place where everyone is welcome,
  • life, hope and wellness for all,
  • the 94 Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and
  • the right of all individuals to self-determine their life journey and the supports they require to attain self-sufficiency and their own well-being.
